Grant Middle School facilitates community involvement with the following committees:

School Site Council (SSC)

English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC)

District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC)

Parent Teacher Club (PTC)


Members of the Grant Middle School School Site Council(SSC), and English Learning Advisory Committee (ELAC) meet one time every month to review and analyze data, review the site budget, programs, and areas of need specific to Grant Middle School. After the review of data, the SSC and ELAC work collaboratively with site administration to determine the needs and priorities for each stakeholder group. Members analyze site goals and the corresponding annual measurable outcomes. Members provide insight and advise the administration, ask questions, and provide input to determine allocation of funds.

SSC and parents (through parent surveys), and teachers have helped give their input in designing parent education opportunities. Grant has a Parent Involvement Policy which is reviewed and updated annually. Communication is paramount and maintained through telephone calls, letters, notices, the school website and other messaging systems. Monthly Parent Teacher Club, School Site Council, and English Language Advisory Committee meetings provide opportunities for information sharing and parental input.
